YAY! :)
Last night, an officemate and I went to hear mass at Greenbelt. We just took a break from all the work and decided to hear mass. The priest was talking about the first time he found out that he was going to be assigned at the Greenbelt chapel. He was saying that it would be a good thing for him because he can observe the different people going in and out of the mall. He told a story of when he was still starting his service in Greenbelt, when he went to a comfort room in Greenbelt 4 and was panicking because he didn’t know how to turn on the faucet. He looked at his left side, right, up, down - nothing. He was kinda losing hope when this janitor said “itapat mo lang, lalabas din yan”. So that’s what he did, he placed his hands in front of the faucet and voila, water came out.
What I found really interesting with his story was his craft to turn it into a lesson.
He said something like this:
“Minsan sa buhay ang hirap hirap na, akala mo wala ng mangyayari. Parang ang dami dami ng problema tapos wala ka ng makapitan. Nakakapagod. Wag kang aayaw, wag kang tatakas. Itapat mo lang, lalabas din yan. Tumapat ka lang sa Diyos at lalabas ang pagmamahal. Lalabas ang lakas. Lalabas ang hinahanap mo, tumapat ka lang.”
:)
I didn’t mean to sound so preachy, but you agree, right? :)

These are two of the honours bestowed on me at the Awit awards last Monday. I am humbled and would like to say some thanks here because, well, i am extremely thankful. :) Thank you PARI and Awit awards for this recognition. I am thrilled. Thanks to all who helped with recording and touring - session musicians, engineers, bandmates, crew, management, and record label. Thanks to the fans for your love and loyalty. Thanks to my family and my girlfriend for the inspiration, love, support and patience. Thanks to God for all His blessings. Cheers everyone! Mabuhay ang OPM!
ps i think we were also given recognition for arrangement for yugto and another one for engineer, same song or album. or something like that. i was late for the pre show, didnt catch it.:)
Galing!
If a shallow person stumbles in and labels all the paintings on display “Messy” or “Meaningless,” but if you stare at the images long enough you can see that they’re filled with great power and passion as well as intelligence.
Just like people.
love this, wow
True, true.
Frankenstein will not be too far now:
A dead heart beats again, thanks to the efforts of scientists at the University of Minnesota. To rebuild and reanimate the organ, which was harvested from a rat, scientists first stripped the old heart cells away with a detergent typically found in shampoos.
That left behind a collagen matrix—the protein fibers that hold groups of cells together and help give organs their overall shape—which they then reseeded with heart cells from a newborn rat. They attached the organ to electrodes and waited. Then it happened: The heart started to beat regularly.
SourceOh my god. I love science.
woah.
Wow.
